London 2012

The Olympic Handover from the Beijing took place on the 24th of August 2008, London 2012 now has the Olympic flag and Great Britain is gearing itself up for the next 5 years to the start of the games in 2012.

The Paralympic handover will take place on September the 17th 2008 and will be followed by the Cultural Olympiad, which will start over the weekend of September the 26th and 27th 2008.

The Cultural Olympiad over the next 5 years will empower young people across the country to take part in a huge range of inspirational programmes in their local communities.
