Cluster Competitions:
A number of cluster competitions and events have been organised for the year. Please click on this link for the dates: Newman Cluster Competitions & Events. These cluster competitions will lead on to Partnership competitions and tournaments. Winners from some of these events will then go on to represent Brighton and Hove in Sussex Partnership finals.

I hope as many of you can take part in these events, as the cluster events will give you and your teams a chance to practice before you enter the partnership competitions. The Cluster Basketball event will be a skills workshop with some informal games – again giving the students a chance to practice before the Partnership Tournament.

A big thank-you to the JSLA's and CLSA's at Newman who will be running and organising these events over the next few months.

Partnership Competitions:
Updates will be sent to you from Becci Allan and myself about any Partnership competitions coming up. Please do check on the 'Partnership Calendar' and 'Competition Manager' pages for updates.

Newman Junior Sport Leaders:
A number of Junior Sport Leaders from Newman are looking for placements with any of your schools’ after school clubs from October half term to Christmas.
They are unable to run sessions on their own but can come and assist teachers or coaches who run any of your clubs.
If you are interested please let me know.

Newman Community Sport Leaders:
This year Newman is running a Community Sport Leader course for year 12 students. As part of this award they will be running and organising a number of cluster and partnership events. Again these students can come in and help assist with after school clubs and some sessions during curriculum time.
If you are interested in using any of these students please do let me know.

Thanks Emma
